Trident Books in Film & TV

Trident Books in Film & TV

Over the years, Trident has had great success in securing film and TV deals for our clients.

As Vice President of Filmed Entertainment, Erica Silverman handles film rights for many of Trident’s agents, often working directly with producers, studios, managers, and production companies, and when appropriate in conjunction with other large talent agencies in Los Angeles. Erica has an extensive background in the film business. In her career she has represented screenwriters, producers, directors, and actors. She also ran United Artists in New York and taught film at NYU Graduate Film School. Once or twice a year, Erica and TMG’s Chairman, Robert Gottlieb, go to LA for meetings and to introduce new material to their buyers. In addition to their LA trips, Erica meets with buyers all year as they come to New York, allowing a constant flow of Trident material going to film and televisioncompanies.

“I have always been both a voracious reader and a complete film nerd. I love movies, I love binging on great TV series. I have a fairly vast knowledge of film history which I find helpful in selling books to film,” Erica says. “I love selling books for film and TV. I love hearing the excitement from the buyer when I make the connection of a great piece of material to a filmmaker!”
