Originally from Washington, DC, Ava Elkins received a B.A. from Georgetown University in English and German. She attended the Columbia Publishing Course at Oxford in 2024. Before joining Trident Media Group, she held positions on her college literary magazine, The Anthem, as a Bookseller at the Strand Bookstore, and as an Administrative Assistant for Marketing and Publicity at HarperCollins.
