Miles joined Trident Media Group in 2022 as an assistant to Don Fehr and Ellen Levine. He is now open to submissions and eager to work with both fiction and nonfiction authors.

Miles is looking for smart, immersive literary fiction, speculative fiction, story collections, and upmarket fiction with a literary bent. He is drawn to works with strong characters and a distinct style, though not at the expense of plot. He most enjoys novels that explore identity, belonging, relationships, art and creativity, and the natural and built environments. To him, the most successful novels are the ones that make him see the world and the people in it in a different light.

In nonfiction, Miles is particularly drawn to social histories, journalistic deep-dives, cultural criticism, personal essays, science, environmental writing, and progressive voices. His favorite works interrogate themes of power, capital, class, justice, the more-than-human world, and life in rapidly changing or unprecedented times. His interests tend toward the unusual and the overlooked, but he welcomes a fresh take on a familiar subject.

Across genres, Miles is drawn to engaging voices, well-crafted sentences, and a witty sense of humor. He lives in Brooklyn and enjoys live music, baseball, and time spent by bodies of water.
