Jenny Bent is a literary agent with the Trident Media Group., where she represents a wide range of projects, fiction and nonfiction.  Since becoming an agent in 1996, she has represented fifteen New York Times bestsellers. 

Jenny has a BA/MA with first class honors from Cambridge University in the UK; she grew up in Harrisonburg, Virginia.  She has a website at www.jennybent.com, and her articles have been reprinted in the Writer’s Digest 2003 Guide to Literary Agents and in various websites for authors.

Her biggest bestseller to date is Jill Conner Browne's The Sweet Potato Queens Big Ass Cookbook (and Financial Planner), which spent 25 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list, debuting as #1.  She also represents bestselling author Laurie Notaro, whose Idiot Girls' Action Adventure Club debuted and spent eight weeks on the New York Times bestseller list the summer of 2002.  Her client Michael Farquhar is a Booksense, Washington Post, and extended New York Times bestselling author and she has had two authors on the San Francisco Chronicle list:  Ann Cummins and Pamela Raphael Berkman.
