Claire Roberts has been a publishing professional for 15 years with 12 years of experience in foreign rights. Before joining the Trident Media Group Claire oversaw the foreign rights program for Doubleday/Broadway Books, a division of Random House Inc. and prior to that she managed foreign rights sales for William Morrow and Avon Books, and for the trade division of Harcourt Brace.
She has handled foreign rights for such best-selling authors as Pat Conroy, Kitty Kelley, Jon Krakauer, and Spencer Johnson, as well as Myla Goldberg, author of the widely acclaimed debut novel, Bee Season; Adam Haslett, author of the short story collection You Are Not a Stranger Here; and Valerie Martin, whose novel Property won the UK’s prestigious Orange Prize in 2003.
Claire graduated from Brown University with a degree in Comparative Literature and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. |
