Alanna Ramirez began her publishing career with the Berkley Publishing Group and later became an assistant publicist at HarperCollins before accepting a position to work with Ellen Levine as her assistant and first serial associate at Trident Media Group.  Since coming to Trident, Alanna has had the privilege of working with such esteemed authors as Christopher Andersen, Russell Banks, Michael Ondaatje, Peter Orner, Mary Morris, and Aurelie Sheehan.  She has sold book excerpts and short stories to BOMB, Ladies Home Journal, Ninth Letter, A Public Space, and TriQuarterly, among others.   Her interests include literary fiction, narrative nonfiction, memoir, pop culture, and lifestyle books.  She holds a B.A. in History and Journalism from Rutgers University.
