E-BOOK OPERATIONS
Trident E-Book Operations is Trident Media Group’s latest literary division. It will create, manage and implement innovative e-book strategies for its authors, including the distribution of a variety of e-books directly to a large number of e-tailers in North America and internationally. Authors will have more flexibility than ever before, as well as new potential domestic and foreign revenue streams.
Trident's clients will be provided with a comprehensive suite of services – ranging from digital conversion, digital jacket design, to marketing and social media consultation – from some of the most highly sought after professionals in the industry, and have advantageous relationships in all areas applicable to e-books, including copy-editing, marketing and cover design. Trident and its authors will have the ability to quickly change their e-book programs in anticipation of the rapidly evolving worldwide e-book marketplace.
FOREIGN RIGHTS DEPARTMENT
Trident's business philosophy is to build businesses for our clients. Publishing is a global business—that is why we make every effort to retain foreign rights for our clients. We sell directly in all the major foreign rights markets, attending both the Frankfurt Book Fair and the London Book Fair. Trident meets with all the major international publishers in New York on a regular basis. We believe direct one-to-one contact with buyers in the major International markets is essential. Each publisher in every country is a distinct business opportunity for an author.
Four agents, including Robert Gottlieb, attend both the London Book Fair and the Frankfurt Book Fair. In 2006 Trident's Foreign Rights Department negotiated over 400 agreements for our clients in publishing markets around the world and continues to thrive.
FILM & TELEVISION
We have created for our clients a range of substantial relationships with major Hollywood agencies in connection with the selling of dramatic rights. Mr. Gottlieb and Mr. Strone have substantial relationships with these agencies developed over the years and we spend a good deal of time in Hollywood on behalf of all of Tridents' clients.
